Inauguration of Kuwaiti Women Philanthropic Team’s Village

Under the patronage of the Governor of Hajjah Governorate, Major General/ Hilal Abdo Al-Sufi, and in coordination with the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation(SCMCHA), AOBWC inaugurated today, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, the project of “Kuwaiti Women Philanthropic Team’s Village” which included constructing 38 homes for the families of people with visual disabilities affected by the floods in the Bani Qais district of Hajjah governorate. The project was implemented by AOBWC and funded by Kuwaiti Women Philanthropic Team.

The event was attended by Sheikh/ Allan Fada’il, Head of SCMCHA in Hajjah Governorate, Mr Ahmed Hassan Al-Shamry, Secretary-General of the Local Council in Bani Qais district, and the owner of the project land, who endowed it for the benefit of people with visual disabilities who were affected by the floods, Mr Hassan Hadi Hazazi and a group notables of the province and the beneficiaries of the project and their representatives.

On the side of the AOBWC, the event was attended by Ms Hana Al-Ghazali, Director of Offices and Branches, Ms. Hayat Al-Hammadi, Director of Programs and Projects, Mr Abdul-Jalil Al-Omaisy, the Organization Coordinator in the governorates, and engineer Adel Farouz, the supervisory engineer of the Organization.
During the event, shields of thanks and gratitude were handed over to Mr Hassan Hadi Hazazi, the owner of the land, the local authority in Bani Qais district represented by Mr Muhammad Husayn al-Shahari, Director-General of the district, SCMCHA branch in Hajjah Governorate represented by the branch manager, Sheikh / Allan Fadil, and to the local authority in Hajjah Governorate Represented by Major General/ Hilal Abdo Al-Sufi.

The event included monitoring the progress of work in the well drilling project which is part of the project of “Kuwaiti Women Philanthropic Team’s Village” which targets the families of people with visual disabilities affected by the floods. And it also included the distribution of shelter bags to all the families targeted by the project.
